Accessibility
A website everyone can use.
How we build this site so everyone can use it, what we have checked, and how to tell us when something gets in your way.
Our goal
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, the international standard for accessible websites. We build every page to that standard and check the site against it as it changes.
What that looks like here
- Every text colour is checked against its background, so words stay easy to read.
- No text is smaller than 18 pixels, and it all grows when you zoom in or make your browser’s text bigger.
- You can use every page with a keyboard. An outline shows where you are, and a “Skip to content” link jumps past the menu.
- Photos that carry meaning have a written description, and decorative shapes are hidden from screen readers.
- Every form field has a label you can see. If something is missing when you press Send, the form tells you which field and takes you to it.
- Animations stop when your device is set to reduce motion.
- We write in plain language.
What we have checked
In September 2026 we tested our main pages with automated tools (axe and Lighthouse), and they found no accessibility problems. Those tools only catch some problems, and we have not yet tested every page with a screen reader, so please tell us about anything we missed.
In our courses
We plan every course around the people in the room. Before it starts, we agree with you on what helps: large-print materials, interpretation, a support person, and a pace that works for everyone.
We teach on the phones people already own. In the Life course, the first session sets each phone up to suit the person holding it, with text size, voice control, and read-aloud.
Tell us
If something on this site gets in your way, or you need anything here in another format, such as large print, plain text, or a phone call, email holler@weallrize.ca. Tell us the page and what happened, and we will reply within a week.
